About ONEWatertown  Helping hands

Neighbors helping neighbors.

ONEwatertown Hands is a community-driven volunteer program designed to connect residents who need a helping hand with local volunteers who are ready to serve. Our mission is simple: make Watertown stronger by supporting one another in practical, meaningful ways.

How It Works

  • Request Help: Community members can submit a request if they are struggling with tasks around their home or yard. (Request forms are up top.)

  • Site Visit & Approval: Before approval, a team member will come by to confirm the need and make sure our resources are used wisely.

  • Volunteer Response: Once approved, volunteers will be scheduled to complete the task within 5 days.

What We Can Do

  • Yard care: mowing, trimming, cleanup

  • Small repairs: drywall patching, toilet replacements, light fixtures, shingles, small concrete fixes

  • Trash removal or light hauling

  • Other general household or outdoor tasks

  • And more!

Who Can Volunteer

Any community member who is able and willing to help is encouraged to volunteer. All we ask is that you sign your name on our volunteer list. Whether you can give an afternoon or a full day, your time makes a real difference.

Cost

The program is free for ONEwatertown members. Non-members may be asked for a small donation (suggested $50) to help cover supplies and keep the program sustainable.
